Outpatient Alcohol Rehab Phoenix

Treatment for alcohol use disorder begins when a person admits to having a problem. A confession to dependence and an acceptance for help dramatically improves the person's chances of recovering from the addiction.

The treatment options available are tailored to fit the different kinds of individuals and personalities. Outpatient treatment is popular because of its flexibility. Those who wish to recover but not board full-time choose it because it allows them to continue fulfilling their responsibilities. Almost all drug and alcohol treatment centers offer outpatient treatment. However, they conduct an assessment to evaluate the severity of the addiction before they allow it as a viable option.

What Is It Like?

You may not wish to or be capable of putting your life on hold for one to three months for residential treatment. Outpatient treatment, therefore, appeals to addicts with commitments to family or work. This program offers discretion as the patient can maintain the appearance of everyday life despite their ongoing rehabilitation.

Outpatient programs are crafted individually to suit the patient while reaching the overall program goals. There are no predefined periods when the program is to run and can exceed the typical 90 days. It is a consistent feature of both conventional and luxury drug rehab centers.

Is Outpatient Treatment Right For you?

  • You may consider outpatient treatment if:
  • You do not need medically-supervised detox, and your withdrawals are manageable from home.
  • You have left rehab and require additional support in your journey of recovery.
  • You want to supplement the care you get from your family and support group.
  • You cannot afford inpatient treatment. If money is of no concern, consider luxury alcohol rehabcenters as their offerings and settings are more compelling.

Outpatient Programs

  • Intensive Outpatient- These resemble inpatient treatment programs, but they are scheduled around your commitments, such as school and work. You may reside in the facility but are allowed to leave for your duties.
  • Partial Hospitalization- This type requires the patient to visit the hospital for up to six hours a day, a few days a week. They are ideal for patients who are stable but require ongoing pharmacotherapeutic regimens to aid in their recovery.
  • Therapy and Counselling- For patients whose addiction is mild or whose regular use has not evolved into dependence, therapy and counseling are offered to help demystify your addiction and instill coping skills to keep you sober. They are done individually and in groups and are featured in the two other types.

The chances of recovery from addiction are highly subjective and depend on the individual, regardless of if they are a luxury addict or not. It is your willpower and drives for success that will ultimately help you find and maintain sobriety. As far as inpatient and outpatient programs are concerned, their effectiveness is mostly similar. With outpatient programs, a higher level of commitment is needed to avoid triggers that may lead to relapse. In addition, the lack of a controlled environment translates to increased probabilities of early treatment failure.
